Don’t Fear The Reaper

Seasons don’t fear the reaper, nor does the sun, the wind or the rain.

I love this song. I actually had not heard it in a very long time. This was fixed when it popped up in my Pandora Radio playlist in the form of a Punk goes Classic Rock cover by Pierce the Veil. It’s not my favorite cover, but it reminded me of this amazing song.

You know what else reminded me? Fabled Fragrances perfume oil, ‘Grim Reaper’.

Oh yes, I jumped straight on this perfume, because well, who the hell wouldn’t like to smell like the harbinger of death? I know I want to.

When I think Grim Reaper, I think of bleached bones, freshly dug dirt. Now, I must admit that that doesn’t really sound very appealing as scents go. Thankfully, Allyssa is onto that, and has put quite the spin on her scent that embodies the ‘grim reaper’.

Grim Reaper invokes images of an ancient graveyard in a thick pine forest where the long deceased have given the land new life. Fresh grasses and herbaceous hyssop grow in the dirt amongst the tombstones, while black pepper and black musk lend a sinister and subtle background.

Yeah, I can certainly enjoy that scent. In the bottle, you get the refreshing scent of green grass and of moss. It’s so very much a masculine scent, but if you are a female and you dare to be different, I’m sure you could pull it off. As the scent drys down a little, you do get that musky scent coming out in the back ground and giving the fragrance a lot of depth and complexity.

Grim reaper is a very fresh scent, and as I said before, it is very masculine. It is a green fragrance, and it does evolve the longer it is on your skin. It has a high silage, with people commenting Phillip on how good he smells, when I am actually the one wearing it. Did I mention it is a masculine scent? Grim reaper hangs around on your skin for a long time, which is actually amazing, because longevity can be hard to achieve in perfume oils.

I really love this scent, and I would definitely purchase it in a large bottle.

This scent definitely does not need more cowbell.
